Senior Citizens Annual Party Fund Committee
This committee, set up in 1972, undertakes responsibility to provide an annual party for all senior citizens, widows and widowers in the Parish of Great Milton. The party is held on the Saturday after Easter in the Neighbours hall when guests are treated to a roast turkey meal followed by an evening of entertainment.
Prior to 1972 the village Football Club had provided the party. In 1991 the committee decided that funds were sufficient to allow a coach to be fired for a “day at the seaside” for those people eligible for the party. Such was the attraction of this venture that from 1993, 2 coaches were hired to cater for family and friends of our guests. This situation remains to this day with the trip being held on the first Saturday of August each year.
Fundraising is carried out throughout the year with the main fundraiser being the Harvest Festival which is held at The Bull Inn on the first Saturday in September.
The committee meets each month at The Bull Inn to plan fundraising.

Great Milton Choir
Established around 4 years ago, the choir makes a big contribution to the Christmas carols festival and sings for other special occasions (such as weddings) throughout the year.
Each year, around about Harvest time, we perform a concert in St Mary's, Great Milton, together with local musical talent and other musician friends from London. We have performed twice to a packed chapel in Oxford's Keble College and hope this will become a regular event. The choir was invited to take part in a recent broadcast of the BBC's Songs of Praise from the magnificent Blenheim Palace.
We don't meet regularly, but have a series of intensive rehearsals in the two to three weeks leading up to a performance. We're a friendly choir and new singers are always welcome.

Yoga and Fitness
In today's physically and mentally challenging lifestyle, stress and tension seems to be commonplace. All of us are aware of the importance of exercise and a healthy balanced diet. Yoga can play a part in your everyday health and fitness regime by bringing flexibility, good posture and deep breathing to help relieve stress and tension, therefore adding that feel good factor to our lives.
A class at the Neighbours Hall has been running now for many years with additional classes in the surrounding villages.
